The Best Spots On & Around King’s Road, Chelsea

King’s Road is the perfect spot for a Saturday—browsing the shops, grabbing a coffee, and indulging in some seriously good food. With so many great places all within walking distance, it’s easily one of our favourite spots in London.

It still feels like a bit of a hidden gem—tourists tend to skip it, but trust us, it’s way better than central London.

Bonus: If you’re driving, there’s plenty of parking, and a lot of it is free after 13:30 PM on Saturdays. Yes, free parking in London—it exists!

Breakfast

If you’re out early for breakfast, make sure to hit up Granger & Co. or Colbert. Granger & Co. doesn’t take bookings for breakfast or lunch, but you can leave your number and grab a coffee while you wait. Plus, it’s on a great street for a little post-breakfast stroll.

At Colbert, sitting outside is a must—rain or shine! It’s the ultimate people-watching spot, and you’ll often catch some cool cars cruising around Sloane Square. There are usually walk-ins, but booking ahead is always a good idea to guarantee your spot.

Coffee Spots

If you’re in need of a coffee fix, Soho Home is a great spot to grab one to go or sit in and soak up their stunning interiors. For something more on the go check out Hagen, a cosy espresso bar with a few seats. Or, if you’re after something sweet, head to Ottolenghi or Bread Ahead on Pavilion Road—a gorgeous street lined with outdoor seating.

Shopping

Shopping on King’s Road is just so good. It’s got that perfect balance—way less hectic than Oxford Street but still packed with great stores, all within walking distance.

Just left of Colbert, you’ll find Ralph Lauren, Massimo Dutti, Reformation, and Essential Antwerp—a great start!

Just off Kings Road is Duke of York Square which is home to one of the nicest Zara’s in the city, and right across from it? Free People, one of our absolute faves! A few doors down, you’ll find COS and Aesop, and tucked just behind them is a great Space NK. Oh and don’t forget the H&M, it’s a posh one!

For homeware, check out The Conran Shop, The White Company, Caravane, and Peter Jones. For a little bit of luxury shopping, make sure to hit up Ganni, Kujten, Rixo, Farm Rio, and Anine Bing. Plus, the French classics like BA&SH, Sandro, and Maje are all within reach —plus Jimmy Fairly for the coolest eyewear!

There’s a solid-sized Anthropologie, and just a minute away, a two-story Brandy Melville. Plus, we can’t forget M&S—great womenswear and a good food section!

If you’re in the mood for even more, take a stroll down Pavilion Road and follow it straight to Harrods—a 20-minute walk!

Lunch

For a relaxed Saturday lunch, head to the Duke of York Square food market from 10 AM to 4 PM. This is Chelsea, so expect more than just street food—there’s champagne, oysters, and scallops alongside an insane lineup of eats, from Argentinian steak sandwiches and arancini to summer rolls, spring rolls, doughnuts, and macarons. In the summer, it’s even better when the market moves onto the grass—perfect for a long, lazy lunch.

Whole Foods is opening on March 25th, bringing top-tier snacks and hot counter meals that re actually so good!

Dinner

There’s no shortage of great food spots here, but four standouts for us are Bottarga, The Cadogan Arms, La Famiglia, and Koji.

Bottarga, the sister restaurant to Notting Hill’s Zephyr and the newly opened Nina in Marylebone, brings a cool, laid-back vibe with incredible Greek food and a buzzing atmosphere.

If your after good pub food The Cadogan Arms is your spot. A really nice pub serving great pub food.

Over on New King’s Road (a quick 8-minute cab or a 45-minute walk if you’re feeling ambitious), you’ll find Koji—an independent Asian spot serving next-level sushi.

And for our final dinner pick, it has to be La Famiglia. Tucked away on Langton Street, just off King’s Road, this family-run Italian gem is all about authentic Tuscan dishes.

Ice Cream Union

For top-tier ice cream, head to Ice Cream Union. This cool spot serves up unique flavours, and if you see coconut chocolate chip or cinnamon on the menu, they’re our go-to.
