5 London Food Hotspots We’re Eager To Try
We’ve decided to compile a list of both new and established restaurants that are at the top of our must-try list. With so many dining options in London, the choices can be overwhelming, but these spots have recently caught our attention, and we can’t wait to give them a try!
DON’T TELL DAD - 10-14 Lonsdale Road, London, NW6 6RD
Not actually open for service yet but coming soon to Queens Park is “Don’t Tell Dad” – a bakery by day and a restaurant by night. We’re excited for this one!
CANTEEN - 310 Portobello Road, London, W10 5TA
Canteen is a relatively new spot in Notting Hill, led by a former River Café chef. Brought to you by the creators of The Pelican and The Hero, we just know it’s going to be good! Currently, it only offers lunch service but plans to open for dinner soon. The Italian menu changes multiple times a week, but it’s walk-in only, so we’ll make sure to arrive early!
GYMKHANA - 42 Albemarle St, London W1S 4JH
Right now, the top spot on our list is Gymkhana, but snagging a table at a desirable time is proving to be a challenge! Indian cuisine is one of our favourites, we are so eager to try the tandoori lamb chops, butter chicken masala, and wild tiger prawns, all paired with a side of venison keema naan—yum!
IZAKAYA, TUNA FIGHT CLUB - Supermarket of Dreams, 126 Holland Park Ave, W11 4UE
If you’re not a fan of fish, this probably isn’t your scene. But for all the fish and sushi lovers out there, Tuna Fight Club looks like an unforgettable evening! Located in The Supermarket of Dreams, Tuna Fight Club is an immersive experience centred around Atlantic bluefin tuna, complete with a tasting menu. Tickets are a bit on the pricey side, so we’re saving this one for a special occasion! The ticket includes all the food and an arrival drink, plus there’s a sake sommelier on hand for the night!
NOODLE INN - 4-6 Old Compton St, London W1D 4TA
Earlier this year, Kung Fu Noodles opened a spot in Soho, and it’s been buzzing ever since. They serve up a great selection of hand-pulled noodles and tasty sides. We tried to check it out a couple of weeks ago, but the wait was 45 minutes, and we just didn't have the time. On our must-try list are the wide noodles with braised beef rib and wontons drizzled with chilli oil—just thinking about it makes our mouths water!
